Recently, the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of provincial Green Factories in 2022. Shandong Nanshan Aluminum Co., Ltd. has successfully been selected as a provincial Green Factory in 2022 after passing the evaluation and recommendation of the municipal industry and information department, expert demonstration and publicity of the provincial industry and information department.

The provincial Green Factory evaluation work organized by Shandong Province is to implement requirements for the national “Green Industrial Development Plan” and the deployment for the construction of a green manufacturing system, further improve the quality and level of the construction of the green manufacturing system in our province, and accelerate and promote green and low-carbon transformation of the manufacturing industry as well as the construction of a strong province with advanced manufacturing industry, take the lead in realizing the goal of “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”, and accelerate to promote the important measures for the construction of the green manufacturing system in our province.

Deng Jun, deputy director of the Green Development Promotion Division of the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, said in an interview with the media: “The green manufacturing system focuses on green factories, green products, green parks, and green supply chains; establishing an efficient, clean, low-carbon, and cycling green manufacturing system will promote the high-quality development of Shandong’s economy.” According to the overall deployment of the “Three-Year Action Plan for Accelerating the Construction of a Green Manufacturing System (2021-2023)”, the construction of 11 iconic industrial chains in the province will be focused on; mainly in steel, building materials, machinery , automobile, chemical industry, non-ferrous metals, energy-saving and environmental protection equipment manufacturing, new energy equipment manufacturing, comprehensive utilization of resources and other key fields, a group of advantageous backbone enterprises with good work foundation and strong representation will be selected to create green factories, with the goal of building 300 national and provincial green factories by 2023.

This time, Shandong Nanshan Aluminum Co., Ltd. was rated as a Shandong provincial-level green factory, which is an affirmation and encouragement for the enterprise to adhere to green development and sustainable development. In the next step, Nanshan Aluminum will continue to adhere to the principle requirements of intensive land use, clean production, recycling of waste, and low-carbon energy, give full play to the advantages of green manufacturing, summarize the construction experience of green factories, and actively cooperate with relevant government departments to carry out publicity and experience promotion, give full play to the demonstration role of a leading aluminum processing enterprise, and lead the green transformation of the regional manufacturing industry.
