(Correspondent Li Lin) Recently, the standard revision working conference was held at the Donghai Moon Bay Hotel, involving the "Standard for Aluminum Alloy Strip for Can Body" and "Aluminum Alloy Sheet and Strip for Can Tab Stock", which was sponsored by Nanshan Light Alloy Co., Ltd. and undertaken by the Technology Center..

    At the conference, Pan Feng, Executive Vice Director of Technology Center, Sui Xindong, General Manager of Nanshan Light Alloy, Secretary General Ge Lixin of National Nonferrous Metals Standardization Technical Committee, as well as the experts and business representatives from 12 companies such as COFCO Packaging Holdings Co., Ltd., Origen Packaging Co., Ltd., Shanghai Baosteel Packaging Co., Ltd., Yiwu Yikaigai Industrial Co., Ltd., Southwest Aluminum (Group) Co., Ltd., Chinalco Ruiqi Co., Ltd., Henan Zhongfu Industrial Co., Ltd., Henkel Co., Ltd., and Valspar (Shanghai) Enterprise Management Co., Ltd., in total nearly 40 participants.

    The conference focused on a thorough, detailed and intense discussion around the standard content. Aluminium alloy enterprises, aluminum product packaging enterprises and chemical pretreatment enterprises, coatings enterprises, etc. put forward many constructive opinions based on their respective technological advantages. Finally, under the proposal of the Secretary General Ge Lixin, the participants unanimously decided that the can stock industry standard prepared by Nanshan Light Alloy shall be established as a national standard.

    During the conference, General Manager of Light Alloy, Sui Xindong stressed that competition in today’s global market is not only a competition for technology, but also a competition for standard. As an important carrier of innovation achievements, the standard is an important embodiment of the enterprise’s industrial technology level and independent innovation capability.
